The company is dedicated to addressing common and critical challenges in the development of the flower industry, revitalizing China's flower seed industry, and establishing the Shandong Flower Technology Innovation Center. This center, spearheaded by Yatai Agriculture, is a collaborative effort involving the Institute of Vegetables and Flowers Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences, the Tobacco Research Institute of Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences, Shandong Agricultural University, Qingdao Agricultural University, and the Yantai Academy of Agricultural Sciences in Shandong Province. It boasts a technical team of 105 members led by academician Yin Weilun, including 61 individuals with senior professional titles, and 88.5% of its technical staff hold bachelor's degrees or higher.

The center conducts research on the introduction, evaluation, and identification of flower germplasm resources, the establishment of a biological breeding system, and the innovation and integration of intelligent flower production technologies, aiming to achieve a seamless integration of the innovation chain, industry chain, and capital chain. It has undertaken 13 scientific research projects, including key R&D projects and major scientific and technological innovation projects in Shandong Province. The center has developed cutting-edge technologies such as an efficient breeding and standardized cultivation system for Phalaenopsis and a comprehensive prevention and control system for orchids, reaching the forefront of domestic flower technology innovation and securing over 70 intellectual property rights.
